Okay, so I have been in my new lifestyle change for sometime time now (1.5 years) and met goal early in 2005.
Now this is my first holiday being at goal and it almost seems harder than when I was trying to lose. I am not tempted by sweets or sugars, but I noticed that the carb creep has come in lately. My intake is closer to 50-60 carbs a day, compared to my regular 30-40.
Exercise has never been trouble area for me, I am a firm believer in daily exercise and recently bought a treadmill because running outside it just too tough in this cold weather and snow.
So, here is my challenge/issue lately... I am not sure why but I feel like I am slipping up a bit. My scale is varies 1-4 lbs weekly, up and down, which is normal for me. But I feel like I am getting bigger because my 2's & 4's are not as comfortable as they were this summer.
Question, do any of you gain during the winter maybe because of carb creep or the exercise changes when you can't go outside and run? When I was losing, it seemed like I had a better handle on this sort of thing, but lately feel like I am slipping a bit. I am actually getting physically sick over the idea of gaining and not being so toned.
The very thought of being large again makes me ill, it really does. I know I never want to go back to be large and unhealthy, but I think I have gotten too comfortable lately. I mean the other day, I ate a few chips! I never would have pulled a stunt like that months ago.
Any tips to get remotivated? New ideas for exercises when indoors? (I run on the treadmill daily for one hour, then do all my lounges and sit ups. Sometimes I will add the stationary bike or aerobics after the run, just to zip it up a bit. But I miss the outdoors and the fresh air!)
HELP!!!!
