I put this in the health chat forum several days ago and haven't had one reply. Can anyone shed some light?
My Mum is having problems. The doctor has her on a lot of medications but I feel the one causing her trouble is Cardizem (diltiazem). When she first went on this drug she took a 60mg tablet once daily and it really controlled her blood pressure. Then the company took that size off the market here, and she had to get 120 mg capsules. We used to halve them (on doctor's advice) and that was fine.
Then she moved to Tasmania and the new doctor gave her 240gm(yes, FOUR times the dose) capsules. I think these are stopping her losing.
Can anyone advice. I sent my copy of THE BOOK to her and am buying another copy, but don't have one to refer to.
