  • I'm so proud to have made it through 10 weeks!

It's been 10 weeks of hard determination, and the time has flown, but more than anything, I'm proud for believing in myself enough to get through it.

Atkins' WOL hasn't been anywhere near as difficult as I thought it would be. I've stuck it out and I'm 2/3 the way to my goal. But I STILL can't believe how fast the time has gone!

And today I really realized how much healthier my diet is now. I didn't have time for breakfast this morning and so I stopped by McDonalds for a box of Chicken Nuggets. I cannot even begin to tell anyone how DISGUSTING it tasted, and this is coming from the girl who used to eat at McDonalds breakfast, lunch and dinner! Then it dawned on me that for the past 10 weeks I've been eating home cooked meals, not one meal has been processed. I couldnt even eat one nugget. One bite and the whole box went in the trash.

It's certainly true that Atkin's changes your tastebuds! All for the better in my opinion.

Congrats on a super job! I know what you mean about Ickey Mickey's ... there's one on my running route and the smell just about makes me hurl as I run by! I used to eat there all the time and now you couldn't PAY me to do it!

Good for you!!!! I came on board about the same time you did. I have fallen off for a couple of weeks and only went back to eat at Mcdonalds once. I used to eat there all of the time and I found that I couldn't remember their menu.....except the DBl Cheeseburger. Since I've been back on the wagon, I've had maybe 2 of those w/o bun only because I was desperate to have something in my tummy, otherwise the thought is just DISGUSTING!!!!! Congrats!

            Happy low carbing.

Well, it was the best thing I could think of at mcdonalds lol. I was on the highway going to my friends house so yeah, not much choice haha

But the diet coke was consumable! haha

When I did Atkins before, I went to London on my own and I ate at Mcdonalds. I bought a box of 20 nuggets and, no joke, I spent an hour peeling the outter layer off them all. By the time I was done, I'd lost my appetite.
The lengths I'll go to for food. Well, in the past anyway lol

That is so true about the change in taste...I'm so glad you pitched the nuggets, good girl!

And congrats on your success so far, 2/3 of the way is amazing!
