  • I'm back to stay, I learned my lesson.

Well according to my stats my last visit was on November 13. And I'll tell you all that I fell off the wagon BIG TIME! But Christmas taught me a lesson well learned. After going up to my mothers and eating like a normal person.... I felt so guilty. AND Stuffed! Miserable. I guess what really set this off was the bib's that my daughter had given me for Christmas. I COULD NOT EVEN BUTTON THEM! So when we got home I actually was so full and not hungry that I didn't eat another bite of anything that day.

I announced to hubby.... That's it.. I'm going back to Atkins and this time I'm sticking to it as good as I did the first time...... and this time I'm NOT falling off the wagon.... I'm changing my life habits and I will get this blubber off me and keep it off!

I stepped on the scales Monday morning and I wanted to cry. I had gained during the holidays up to 244 pounds! Ok, now I know that this is only Wednesday morning...... and before you say anything I always get on the scales SEVERAL times to make sure I'm always standing in the same place.. and that the reading is right..... but..... this morning they said 237! I know that it is probably all fluid..... but ya know.... I don't care!

But fact is..... those bibs that my daughter bought me..... that I could NOT button ...... I can BUTTON TODAY! Tight as all get out, but before the sides would not EVEN reach!!!

I'm back for life people! I have to...... for me!

      Welcome back.

Here's something I learned...."eating like a normal person" is a relative thing. Pre-Atkins, "normal" to me was huge portions (sometimes double portions). It was really abnormal, but to me it was "normal" at the time.

Soooooo, change your mindset. The way you were eating before--the types of foods, the portion sizes, etc. -- was "abnormal" for your body. If it truly was normal, then you would have maintained weight, not gained it. Once you begin to see how abnormal it was, you'll have an easier time accepting that your new way of eating is how a "normal person" really eats.

Maybe this is a silly question, but what is a bib? I think of one of those things you put around children so they don't get all messy whil eating, but that seems wrong in this context.

Its *got* to be a lifestyle, cuz none of us are ever cured of carb addiction. None.

                  YOU CAN DO IT!

LOL..... not a silly question killer..... I should have totally spelled it out but if you want the truth I shortened it because I just knew I'd screw up the spelling...... but I will try anyhow.....

Bibbed Overalls... or that is what we call them. Pants with the top attached that looks like a bib... with straps that go over your shoulders that fasten to the top to hold them up in place.

Please reconsider what you think of as normal eating. Normal as in the average American? I never want to be 'normal' again.

                      You can do it.

Oh, gotcha! Overalls I would've gotten, maybe it's a regional thing since I've never heard them called bibs.
