Spice girls??? I thought they broke up.

I'm not resolving anything this yr cause last yr taught me one phone call can change all your plans and turn your life upside down. I plan to get the BFL lifting back as an active part of my life.

            My new year's resolution are:
            * make it through the 6-weeks of training in cold Wisconsin without losing any toes from frostbite and have the kids at home still know my name
            * start training for and obviously complete the Dam2Dam 20k race in June & part of this goal is increasing my running miles per week runs to at least 25
            * I also have mini-one - maintain the weight loss

That's about all I can resolve at the moment as life has occassion like 2big referenced to throw you big curveballs and wrenches into the plans of men.

                      Re: New year resolution

Aside from the obvious - losing weight - I am in the processs of finishing the writing of a book with a co-author. I'll have to do all the pre-print stuff since we publish it ourselves. I want to finish that one and I hope for good sales so that we come up with a few dollars surplus by the end of the year. It is really more a hobby project (an in-time cookbook for live action role players). When this is finished I have another two book projects and hopefully can finish the mystery novel in 2006, too (and find a publisher).

Other goals: I want to see Japan.I don't know if this will happen in 2006, but I am working on it. I want to try skydiving, but I'm still too heavy for that. And over the next 2 years I want to learn to ride - a motorbike and/or horses. (I'm afraid of horses).

                          Sadie,

I'm proud of you for typing it out. You can do it!

I've seen Brook struggle with smoking and she uses a book - I think by Allen Carr - for the mental preparation. Maybe she could give you some ideas on that topic? And I'm sure there are many people on this board who want to cut the habit, too - what about a no smoking challenge?

My goal is to keep a healthy attitude and to accept, with God's help, what is thrown my way.

That's it. I feel that if that part of my life's in order, then the rest will follow!
