I bought some Ketone strips but have no idea what they are suppose to do. When I used it, it didn't change colour at all - just stayed blue. On the colour chart that colour means 'trace amounts'.

Can you someone tell me more about those things, I bought the Bayer brand.

    thanks

      Re: Ketones

I bought some a few years ago and the never registered anything at all, so I guess I am not a good one to ask. If it saids trace, thats all you need to worry about, your doing fine. You don't want it at the top (most) because that generally means your not getting enough water.
They are really more helpful when you get to OWL.
      Great questions, thanks for asking

And if you're following the rules of induction, you will be in ketosis. No need to measure with the sticks unless they are really motivating for you. However, lots of people have had inconsistent results with them.

The sticks really get me motivated. Mine turn from beige to pink and darker shades of purple. Like Dr. Atkins says in the book, that for some people they can be motivating because they are telling you in chemical code that you are losing weight. I need to find that in the book and quote it. Some people don't think much of the sticks, but I love 'em.
