    I will be honest I HATE EXERCISE.. I work in an office 9-5 and then teach for 2 hours and exercising for me means pain Im so out of shape, But I hate being fat even more so this morning I did 60 mins on treadmill Im going to be so so sore but Im tired of crying every time I walk past someone who looks at me like Im a beached whale and I will take muscle pain over tears any day.
    Start weight: 291
    Current weight: 279 !!
    Goal Weight ( for now) 260:
    520 MINS OF 600 DONE !! :eek:

      Well done - I am sure it wont be long till you start enjoying the 'buzz'!
      Or at least enjoying the fact you have done it.

        Gknight.. That is awesome! Emotions can do a LOT to either push us or drag us down. I'm so glad that you turned them into doing something positive!

            I had a BMI of 61. Why do they even need to calculate that! I hate BMI. I knew I was fat. I was never in the normal range. I hate BMI!

            anyways......... Just getting out of bed was a choir. Trying not to suffocate in my sleep was a choir. I stand by what I did, and I don't have any regrets for not exercising.

            It's a bit intimidating going to a gym and the stairmaster has a 200lb weight limit. And you can't fit into the weight machines.
            so don't go to the gym. who here has said you have to do that? just walk somemore then you did yesterday. Go the long way to the restroom at work, park in the next row back, walk those grocery store aisles with the stuff you aren't going to buy, use a 1 pound can and do some arm exercises. You can do lots of exercise if you want to or you can keep believing you are too big to do it.

              This is a super duper thread Betty!!!!!

              Exercise is key... I am down to my lowest weight in about 4 years, and when I was this weight before, my pants were a size 18... since exercising I have lost a whole pant size. I still weigh between 195-200 btu before I was an 18 and now I am a very loose 16! Exercise rocks, that being said.... I m off to do it!!!!

                WOOHOO RIKKI! Who cares what a scale says, when clothes speak louder!!!

                  Ok, I admit....I USED TO BE AN EXERCISE HATER. I don't know why. It's not like I did it very often, if at all. However, I read DANDR and it clicked with me. 2 Big is right, Dr. Atkins does say if you're not exercising, you're not doing the program. Since I'm so TIRED of being overweight and failing all the countless diets I've tried over the years, why not do this one right?

                  The other reason why I used to be an exercise hater was that I was quick with making excuses. (too much homework, too much work, I'm tired, my (fill in the blank medical reason) is acting up again. Well, you get the idea.

                  All I can say now is that I'M ADDICTED TO EXERCISE! Those that know me well will tell you that this is a complete 180 from where I used to be. I can't imagine exercise not being a part of life anymore. Even though I'm still a big gal, I have plenty of energy to keep up with all the younger college students that are around me all day. On the medical side, a lot of my issues have reduced or gone away since starting an exercise program. Starting the Atkins WOE will hopefully improve me even more.

                  Honestly, why wouldn't you exercise?

                      Boy o Boy, I've been doing a lot of walking around shopping centres (Malls) and stuff. My parents are visiting and I have the week off.

                      I did so much walking yesterday my feet and ankles hurt!

                      I lost 1 kilo 2.2 pounds!

                      Happy now!!! I'm exercising!!!!! Damn Exercise Nazis!! The lot of you! :P

                      LOL (Just kidding)
                      It'll warm me up for my walking schedule that starts next Monday!

                        It's funny how addicting exercise can be. I did mine earlier today and I'm sitting around watching tv now and thinking.. hmm maybe I'll pop in a quick exercise video instead of watching this. What?? Who has taken me over?? lol

                                Always hated exercise. I do it though, every day, and for months I've hated it as much as ever. I will say now though, that just very recently it's been getting a tiny tiny bit better.

                                Maybe in ten years time, I'll be an addict. I sure ain't gonna stop (fingers crossed).
