  • Discouraged and in need of advice

Two weeks of induction -- no cheats, no stuffing, lots of water, 5 days a week of at least 30 minutes fast walking (including hills) -- I have lost 1.5 pounds!!! I have even resorted to using the supplements described in the book to help boost weight loss. This week am going to follow the anti-yeast regime. Other advice please!

    Hi hipsahoy

We're going to need a lot more information from you in order to make suggestions.

A couple of days worth of menus- not just what, but how much - and *everything* that's gone in your mouth.

How much water are you drinking?

Is the exercise new to you?

    Are you on any meds?

    What supplements are you taking?

What is your current weight? What is your goal weight?

Please give us this info and we'll pelt you with suggestions/experiences/ and all around good vibes

As Brook says we can't comment on anything till we know more.

Generally a person will lose 5 to 10% of their desired amount after the first two weeks, so knowing your stats will give us and you a better idea of where you stand.
What supplements are you talking about?

        Ditto,

and also just remember is only two weeks. Some people will loose a little and then have the whoosh fairy and lose a lot down the track.

First congrats on completing your 14 days give yorself a pat on the back for that

next you want to lose 30 pounds I looked at your other post and you got 1.5 which is 5% of that andexpected loss for 14 days is 5-10% of the needed to lose weight. so youare on target already and we don't even know if you have any problems that need tweaking.

You should know Betty oneof our retired admins lost 0 pounds for her induction and continued doing Atkins. She is now a 2+ yr goalie

Hang in there. Post some of your menus for the wonderful people to look over. Try not to get frustrated. I go through weeks at a time where I lose nothing and then suddenly a 3 or 4 pound loss. I don't always lose consistently either. But some loss is better than a gain any day!
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!
