Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
It goes a bit further than eating 10g of carbs a day unfortunately. Can you post a menu? You may be eating foods which are considered illegal at this stage. You shouldn't be eating anything that's not on the allowed foods list:

You also need to ensure that you're drinking 64 oz of water a day. That's 8 pints, or 16 glasses.
Are you exercising? Although exercize makes up an essential part of Atkins, you may find that you're losing fat but replacing it with muscle instead, and since muscle weighs more than fat, the scale won't be able to distinguish between the two.
The best advice I can give is to ditch the scales. Instead, take a tape measure and use that once a week. If you're measuring every day, a lack of weight loss may discourage you.
If you follow the plan correctly, you will lose weight.
also, what are your stats? Age? Sex? Starting weight? Goal weight?Steph - Age: 24 yrs - Height: 5'4" - Original Weight: 170 lbs - Current Weight: 155 lbs - Goal Weight: 120 lbs - STAC

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
Good grief!
You've gotta be retaining more water than the Hoover Dam with all that sodium
You don't list how much of what you're eating. You're only allowed 3-4oz of cheese a day total.
Where are your veggies?!! You've got squat in there for veggies and that's not Atkins. Your body needs not only the nutrients and fiber from those veggies, but you're supposed to be starting to learn eating habits that will carry you through and make this a lifestyle!
And with all that meat and cheese, I'd imagine that your digestive system is pretty...<ahem> backed up. That'll weigh you down too.
Water with every meal? Is that 24oz total or is that 64+ total a day?
Supplements?

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
I see a SERIOUS lack of vegetables in that diet! In fact, you dont have any!
Add some salad (up to three cups a day) and one cup of other vegetables (broccoli, zuccinni, anything, check the list I posted)
Cut back on the cheese, you're not stating exactly how much you're having at each meal but it looks far too much too me.
Also, you're not eating enough by any means. You need to eat much more, but the salad and vegetables will help fill your menu out.Steph - Age: 24 yrs - Height: 5'4" - Original Weight: 170 lbs - Current Weight: 155 lbs - Goal Weight: 120 lbs - STAC

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
Yeah honestly you gotta be retaining water like crazy. You're eating a ton of processed meat (not necessarily bad) but my money is on the water retention due to all the sodium.
Dont forget to eat the veggies, and if you want my opinion on this diet:
Max weight loss = MEAT + WATER + VEGGIES
I can lose up to a friggin pound in one day if I only eat veggies (salad, squash & broc) and nothing but pure, unprocessed meat like chicken breast.
This is true for me, I'm not sure for others.

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
If you want to know what I'd do to that menu if it were me, here's my opinion:
Breakfast:
scrambled Eggs
bacon/Turkey Sausage (make sure it's not packed with filler, a lot contain bread as fillers!)
grilled tomato
Water
Lunch:
Tuna/chicken salad
water
Dinner:
Pork chops/steak/chicken/turkey breast with broccoli
water
Snacks:
string cheese (since you obviously like cheese lol)
Just as an idea. There are so many other options open to you, but it's nearly midnight here and I'm pretty tired lolSteph - Age: 24 yrs - Height: 5'4" - Original Weight: 170 lbs - Current Weight: 155 lbs - Goal Weight: 120 lbs - STAC

Wrong. Salmi, sausage, roast beef = processed.Originally posted by AnjeliqueI eat unprocessed meat
I bet if you cut those out you'll lose like 3lbs in water

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
Rational is correct. Most of the meats you listed are processed - more than likely loaded with fillers and about guaranteed to be sodium soaked.
Why no veggies? It'd certainly be easier to give you advice/suggestions for incorporating them into your menus if we knew why you're not eating them or what you like
Again - how much water are you drinking? Supplements? Exercise?

Re: Day 6 and I haven't lost anything
Turkey sausage is STILL sausage. It's loaded with fillers and salt to make it sausage - pork or beef doesn't sausage make - it's what they add to it.
If it's not pure protein or pure fat, it's got a carb count - and you can bet with the fillers and additives that you've got carbs in there you're not counting.
Reading the nutritional label for counts isn't enough. You have to read the ingredients too.
This is where knowing how labeling laws work is handy. Not sure where you're from (Columbia?) - but here in the USA a food product can be labeled as having 0 grams of carb per serving if it has less than .49grams. It can be labeled as having <1 gram if it has .5-.99 grams of carb. If it says zero grams and it's not pure protein (and even some meat sources naturally have a carb count - like lots of seafood, for example) and it's not pure fat, it has a carb count.
If you're not looking for suggestions and experience, that's cool. We're just trying to help. If you are, giving us the info we've asked for to help you will get us all a lot farther a lot faster
