When I ever first started Atkins my brother gave me a great piece of advice.

He said to buy one of those cream whippers. The kind you have to get at a kitchen supply store, and you buy little rechargers for it. It was about $30 and well worth the cost!

You use straight heavy cream in it. It turns it into the most wonderful, non-sweetened, whipped cream!

Put a little dab in your decaf oh-so-yummy! Or if you are desperate for a legal treat - like, you just got home from a get-together where other people were eating your used-to-be-favorite-desert and now you have cravings- squirt some into a small bowl and pretend it's ice cream. (I found, when following strict Atkins with no sweeteners cream by itself tastes sweet enough)

Oh, sometimes I add a drop or two of vanilla. But be careful! Only get it from the health food store & check the labels. Most grocery store vanilla has sugar added now. ( Why do they have to do that?? I remember as a kid, vanilla extract never had sugar. Now McCormick's and all the others have put in sugar. Why?? They just intentionally want to make everyone eat more sugar!! )

I have one of the whip cream dispensers. It's very handy, especially for my dear hubby who can't whip cream with a whisk to save his beautiful soul. I sometimes add 1 or 2 packets of Spenda to give it a slightly sweetened taste.

Hubby has also tried adding unsweetened cocoa & a couple of packs of Splenda. Looks weird to me, but he loves it. He likes it as a treat.

I have one of those thingies! I love it. I couldn't rely on getting good results with whipping the cream with a wisk. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Anyway, I don't have to worry about it anymore.

          I bought mine on eBay.

Really??? The only times I've had problems with whipping cream by whisk were when the cream wasn't as cold as it should have been.

Yes ..... really. I tried using cold cream and even used a cold metal bowl to whip it in.

I could never get it as perfect as the whipped cream maker. I even have trouble boiling eggs!

The nice thing is that you can keep it right there in the fridge. (It will last about a week or maybe two.) Who wants to get out the whisk to create one squirt of whipped-cream for their morning decaf?

I have the same problem!! Hubby makes the hard boiled eggs around here, not me! LOL I even have a hard time crackin' the darn things. Why can't I get the shell off in one piece instead of a million little pieces? Grrr!
