  • 100 Days on Atkins

I'mstarting Atkins and doing it for about 3.5 months and was just curious how mush weight most people have lost on atkins in 100 days.
Last timeI did Atkins (about 2 years ago) I lost about 40lbs in 4 months with on and off atkins but this time I plan on sticking it out for a solid 100 days and staying on Induction for at least a month.
    I currently weigh 200lbs exactly.

Is it unreasonable to expect 40lbs of weight loss in 100 days.
My eventual goal is 150 so I plan on geting down as much as possible in 100 days and then switching to a more muscle building oriented diet for the summer.

And idea how much a 19yr old, 200lb, 5'8 male can expect to lose with Atkins and excersize?

well first off you know with 30% protein in Atkins you will build muscle even if you don't exercise on Atkins UConn did the study and proved it.

Now about your 100 days are you going to eat Atkins induction for 14 days and move to OWl climbing the carbohydrate ladder as you workout lose weight and add lean bdoy tissue or are you just using induction as a "cutting" diet?

Weight loss is an individual thing. So it's hard to predict how much weight anyone will or won't lose.

I think you should do what was suggested in your other thread and read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition. I'm getting a feeling from your former post and this one that you really don't understand how Atkins works nor what it entails.

It depends on many things! One thing though, don't expect linear weight loss to last time. Every time I've done Atkins, I've lost half of what I did the time before.

I've been on atkins since October, and I've lost 28lbs, but I've been stalled for most of that time, so I feel if it wasnt for that, I could have lost more.

But with some determination, you could lose 40lbs I reckon!
