They used to sell potato with 1/3 the carbs of a regular potato in the US. I never tried them because they hit the market when I was still on Induction.

I don't know. I don't miss potatoes enough to try them now-a-days. I've become accustomed to eating cauliflower for all my previous potato recipes. Interesting that they can do this kind of stuff. Pretty soon they'll come up with a diet where you can eat till you feel satisfied and still lose weight!!! Oh yeah, I forgot - we are on such a diet... Dr. Atkins already thought that up.

this kills me... If low carb diets allegedly don't work, why are people killing themselves to make LC foods?

Celeriac is great! I like to roast it in the same pan with beef or chicken.

Sadie, it tastes a mild celery.

Brian, how do you make your turnips? I've cooked them JUST LIKE POTATOES (mashed, hashbrowns) and they turned out super.

I would always refuse turnip as a child - I realy do think it disgusting. Roast parsnip and celeriac I love. Celeriac is lower in carbs.

I love turnips, too. I made scalloped turnips with dinner the other night, and my guest loved them!

Ophh! Roast parsnip - just love them. I definitely DO miss potatoes enough to try low carb ones. I'll chase this up for Australia. Thanks Brian.
