  • OMG, where did that come from!?

I have just come back into my office and I saw that one of my colleagues had an empty bag of crisps (potato chips) in her bin! I suddenly thought how nice they would be!!!!

I haven't had any for over 2 years now and I havent had the craving for around 2 years, then all of a sudden it strikes!

You may be pleased to know that the craving has now passed, but it just goes to show that you can never get complacent on this WOE.

hahaha poor thing. The only crisps I miss are Pickled Onion Monster Munch.

But I mean, if I just LICK them instead of eat them, there's no carbs, right? haha

LOL, I sometime smell chocolate instead of eating it, as it reminds me how strong willed I am.

Does that make me sound sad!?

        Not at all lol.
But then again, I eat chocolate til I'm sick of the bloody stuff anyway! Tesco's sugar free bars have been my saviour - in more ways than one! I eat a couple of bars when I get a craving, feel so sick that I don't get such strong cravings again lol. It's like self punishment. a few months back, I could have killed for a bowl of coco pops, so I ate 3 bowls, and I've not had a craving since haha (surprising, no?)

Not wishing to get personal, but how can you eat so much sugar free chocolate? If in the past I ever had more than one small sugar free bar a day I had terrible trouble with a "runny bum".

Try sitting through a 3-hour lecture class with stabbing abdominal gas pains. And I wonder why Atkins didn't stick with me the first time.

              Freaking frankenfood!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

stephbob, Do you get 'Cadbury Delight' over there, since it's a brittish company i would think you do. It's cadburys s/f chocolate bar and it is to die for. I've had to stop buying them i can't control myself (i prefer not to eat an entire bar re: abdominal issues as well). It's the closest to 'real' chocolate as far as s/f, and actually really reminds me of brittish chocolate. Our regular cadburys chocolates are made here i believe, they're not nearly as good as yours.

If you haven't had one..stay away. LOL they're too good!

Talking as a Brit, sadie, I havent seen them, but then i dont really take much notice of the chocolate bars on our shelves anymore.

                    Stephbob may know differently though.

Unfortunately here they're now on every candy stand in every store, calling my name . They're actually not marketed/labelled as 'low carb' just sugar free, so i'm not sure alot of people notice them. Of course i did, i'm sure i noticed the first one that ever hit the shelf LOL.

Must be the phase of the moon or something. I'm the "official parent" on the swim bus today and I always bring food for the kids. I was baking cupcakes last night. I had mixed up the batter for the first batch and baked them with no problem. Then I mixed up the batter for the 2nd batch. I suddenly found myself with a spoonful of cake batter half-way to my mouth. And not the spoon I was using to mix it, but a spoon I got out of the drawer just for the purpose of scooping some into my mouth.

At that moment, I stopped and thought, "What the heck am I doing?!?!?" and two things popped into my mind. First was the "Stop the Self-Sabotage!" thread title I see every time I get into this forum. Second was that I would only have 27 of 28 Cheat Free Days this month if I put that in my mouth. So . . . .

into the sink it went (and quickly doused in dishsoap!).

But, back to Rich's point, I have been baking cupcakes and goodies for the swim kids once a month all year and have never been tempted even once to try anything before. I don't know what came over me last night. Thank goodness it, too, has passed!
