  • question about liquid splenda

I think I read somewhere that splenda in the liquid form has absolutely no carbs while the powder form has some carb. I searched my local grocers and also web commercials but have found no liquid form of splenda for sale. Does anyone have any idea where I can find splenda in the liquid form? Thanks.

    Re: question about liquid splenda

I dont know where in the world you live, kathyone, but as far as I know it is not available in retail outlets as it is a product used mainly by food manufacturers.

I have heard it is sold in the USA online - maybe a google search will find you a supplier?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

the flavored davinci syrups appear to me to be made from the liquid form so maybe those could work for you, depending on what you are planning to use them for. you can find them at wal-mart in the usa

Remember, whether liquid or not, you are limited to 3 servings of sweeteners a day.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of folks finding liquid splenda online somewhere...so just try a search for it.

there was a major shake up in Splenda licensing and OWnership in 2004 andOneil no longer controls it all. However the bad thing is becuase of the huge market increse and the underproduction their is a shortage ands all companies were notified their would be a cut back in the amount they were allowed to buy. A new plant should be on line by now if the hurricane doidn't get it in Alabama and production should be up. http://sweetzfree.com/ is a very good online sourse in the US and the next order window is feb 10th. may overseas outside England folk have been able to buy it in stores even as I know several Aussie folk had itback in 2002.

Liquid Splenda is not available in UK.

The tablet form has less carbs. Crush them between two teaspoons or, where possible, disolve them in a small amount of water.

Liquid Hermesetes is available in UK, but it is saccharin, not sucralose.

Boots does not stock it - you have to order it from an independent chemist shop. It only takes a couple of days.

The purists will want me to remind you Atkins only recommends Splenda (Sucralose)
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
            he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Saccharin is totally acceptable on Atkins. Like Splenda, it is heat stable so, heating it won't disminish it's sweetening power.

Absolutely right - had another look. Atkins says "My preference, however, is Sucralose", but he does permit saccharin.

I should add that not all Hermesetas products are permitted, but the liquid form is sodium cyclamate and saccharin, and is OK.
