  • about to fall set the wagon on fire!

    i don't know why, but i am insanely craving chocolate.

    my ds brought home some resees hearts for v-day, and i just bought my hubby a giant chocolate chip cookie thing for v-day

    and i am just about to go insane and eat myself silly!

    these are the first cravings i've had since starting on dec 30 - what the ****'s going on with me?

    Oh, you don't want that nasty stuff! It may taste good going in, but is it really worth the feeling of guilt afterwards? I don't think so.

      now that i think abou tit i was fine util i was in the frankenfoods isle at sams club - and those fudge low carb bars with carmel looked so good

      didn't buy them though - or i'd have already eaten them all!

      is this just a mind game or could it be a physical thing?

        Blueskies step away from the candy! Back away now!

        Have a big glass of water and eat a high fat snack, maybe a piece of cheese or some bacon, call a friend, put on a video tape, put on your "old" bigger clothes and see how you've shrunk, look at a before picture.....

        You have worked so hard so far, that candy is not worth it!!!
        You can do it. Hang tough!!! You will be so happy and proud of yourself tomorrow!!

            Those low carb bars taste like total crud. Not making this up, either! IMO they are a total waste of money.

            *Disclaimer: joking, please do not blame me if you do this*: Buy yourself a sugar free or low carb box of chocolates and eat most of them. You'll be too busy in the bathroom to even think about V-Day candy!

                  Drink a ton of water and get that taste out of your mouth! Definitely eat something high fat NOW!!!! And not high fat reeses!

                    Just, stop, take a few deep breathes, stop thinking about it. Drink a big glass of water and go do somthing you like....watch tv, build a model, play b-ball, ect. soon the feeling will subside. That is what I do. Now next time this urge happens realize how bad and detrimental that food is to you and your goal! You have worked so hard and that little thing is a bully that wants to bring you down....soon you shall realize that they are not your friend and that you can find other ways to satisfy your sweet tooth that are friendly. Why throw all your hard work away for a meesly piece of junk!!!! When I see food like that around my house that is what I think and then I try to move away from them....remember 2 things out of sight out of mind, and they are the enemy trying to distroy you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                    P.S. You have friends here and they shall help you and give you some great food alternatives to satisfy all your needs!!!! (so I guess the third thing you should remember is when things like this happen to log on here and we shall help!)

                      Don't burn that wagon - repaint it - "I'm a happy Atkineer!"

                      Just remind yourself of previous years. Seriously, what did all that carbage do for you? Did it give you an iron clad self-esteem? Did it make you happy?

                        This is the way I look at it....if you're going to have a 'bite' of the real thing, go get you some sugar free ones. IMO they taste EXACTLY like the regular ones....but you WILL get busy in the bathroom....multiple times...and then the next time you'll probably rethink eating either one at all!!! heh heh!

                          ok, i'm ok!

                          so glad you guys were around!

                          i made a tall glass of hot chocolate (heavy cream, davinci vanilla kalluah and raspberry, and cocoa powder)

                          and the craving's gone YIPPIE!!!!

                          what have we learned today?

                          NO CANDY EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                            Is Tom near? that can make chocolate cravings roar. that has to do with one of thebrain chems in it being one of the same as released during great sex.

                            actually you have used the cocoa powder to react in the brain where the pot does and mellow out your brain. you have used other chems in there to act as neurotransmitters and calm you down too. becareful because the effects can be additive too.

                            if COCoa was introduced as a food now it would be banned because of all the pharmacological chemicals it mimics and contains.

                              If I was to go and eat sweets, even the cocoa, splenda and cream cheese I would be out of control. the only way I can be in control is by not allowing myself to eat the good tasting poison(chocolate).

                              Be careful! the next cheat will be so much easier next time. Speaking from experience.
