  • Feel a little frustrated....

I feel a little frustrated bc it's been about 2 1/2 weeks since I started. I have lost 10 pounds in the first four days. I weighed this morning and I haven't lost anymore weight. I have lost 1 to 1 1/2 inches in my arms, hips, waist, thighs, and butt. I know that it's better than nothing but I think I was expecting to see a little more weight off and maybe a few more inches. Oh well, maybe next time I check!

weight loss isn't linear and while you are not seeing it things are going on in your body biomechemically and biophysically. This is the point in all weight loss plans that folk say well it stopped working for me and quit. Hang in there and you will see the pounds and inches shrinking as long as you are working your Atkins by doing the mandatory exercise, eating only enough food to satisfy your hunger when you eat, drinking all your water, and taking the supplements and vits your body needs based on your metabolism and food choices.

If you think you have any problems food realted post a few days worth of menus and folk will let you know if you are consuming any known stallers just encase but most likely your body is catching up with the drastic changes you have initiated and will be moving in the right direction again next weigh and measure time.

SO are you moving to OWL or staying on exteneded induction.

When I began Atkins I lost 12 pounds that was in the first week and then nothing then I started to weight train and Stayed the same for 6 weeks I didn't lose anything technically for 7 weeks. 2 BIG and Moochie helped my by telling me I would lose so I belived them and Just stayed the couse after the 7 weeks of no loss I lost 17 pounds in 3 weeks so I am really glad I kept going. Down 100 now in a year and 3 months.

You can do it I know it can be frusturating but you can and will do it.

Angi, your body dumped a lot of weight very quickly, and needs to take a breather before the next round. I lost 9 lbs in induction, then nothing for 3 weeks in owl. I think it's pretty normal for a lot of people.
Don't get discouraged, hang in there and keep doing what your doing. You will start losing again when your body is ready.

I am going to stay in extended induction for a while just bc I tend to lose weight slower than normal. I have basically been eating eggs and meat. I have altered the meat with some seafood like shrimp and fish. Maybe I can increase my water intake bc I do find I may not be drinking enough water. I am taking chromium suppl. but what else can I take to support weight loss?

10 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome! When I did my initial 2 week induction I only lost 6 pounds and I was happy. Ive lost a total of 15 pounds in 7 weeks and ive lost around 5 inches off of my stomach.

Today some one mentioned that they noticed that I have lost weight. For me, the scale hasnt move in 2 weeks but I know the diet is working. Hang in there. Its worth it.

are you eating your veggies? they have many phytonutrients you need for the chemical reactions needed to metabolize fats and energy. Are you taking your mutlimineral VP?

reread your DANDR chapter 11 and see if you are misisng anything.

You are doing splendidly! Do you know Angi that your organs even become encompassed with fat? so, you may not see a loss on the scale but believe me with continued diligence, it's working in ways you wont even see until you go to slide those jeans on and what do you know??? they're too big!
