  • Question about Cream??

I read on this site about someone having a tunny ache, and I can't remember who, but someone suggested heavy cream. Well, I was having a terrible bout of heartburn/upset stomach and I drank 3 ounces of cream and it did help me to feel better. I was a little upset to see that when I put it in a fitday, it was 4 carbs for those 3 ounces!!!! I know, I am freaking over every little carb and even with that my total carbs for the day are 17. This is day #6 of induction and so far so good!!!!

Fitday tells me that 3 ounces of heavy cream is 2 carbs. Half and HAlf 3 ounces is 4 carbs.

          Re: Question about Cream??

Heavy cream averages about 0.5 to 1 net carb per tablespoon. There are 2 tablespoons in 1 fluid ounce. So 3 ounces will have 6 tablespoons.

Be careful about the cream. There are 2 acceptable amounts listed for Induction: under beverages the limit is 2-3 tablespoons; under the Special Category Foods, it is limited to 3 ounces with the caution that the Special Category foods have been known to hinder weight loss and may need to be avoided.

Next time dilute an ounce of cream with some water and see if that works. It may only take a little bit of the cream to soothe your tummy.
I'd try the ginger tea or peppermint tea as well.

                Re: Question about Cream??

when I have doubts about the products that exist on fitday I add my own. I have the cream and the creme fraiche I eat there. I just copy the nutrition values. Since Im not american I have no idea of how similar the products are or arent. Maybe you can do the same with your cream too.
