Re: How often do you weigh?

I am on the scale every morning. I need to be accountable for everything I eat, and I feel like it is better to catch a gain early and reverse it. I don't mind tiny fluctuations of 1 or 2 pounds they don't freak me out.

Once a day except on the weekends... weekends I sleep later and often lie in bed for a while before I get up, so the scale does weird things on weekends. But every weekday morning, weighing is my motivation to get out of bed -- I get up, use the restroom, take off my clothes, and weigh!

Re: How often do you weigh?

I am too obsessive compulisive NOT to weight once a day. Sometimes I even weight twice a day. Then I take two out of three weighs each time. Yeah I know, I'm a freak but to be honest, it keeps me on track and the little fluxes don't bother me nearly as much as it would if I weighed only once a week. My mom only weighs once a week, I don't know how she does it! When she is disapppointed her disappointments are bigger than mine because I am never taken by surprise. Like some of the other posters. when I stopped weighing, I started gaining because I stopped caring. The scale helps me stay accountable.

Twice a week -- Saturday is the official weigh-in (to write down) and Wednesday is the "mid-term" report. My system to keep from getting riled up when the scale bounces: I keep track of weight, body fat %, and keto stix. As long as one of the three is moving in the right direction, I'll ignore the other two temporarily.

Re: How often do you weigh?

Once a month, officially... I step on the scale every once in a while unofficially out of sheer curiosity but I don't record the number or take it seriously. I just couldn't stand the drama of day-to-day or week-to-week weight fluctuations if I recorded it/stepped on the scale more often than that... especially since hormones and water retention play so much into female weight.

As far as accountability, my mother has said that the two most stubborn people in this world are my father and I. So I hold myself accountable, scale or no.

I am a little psycho with the measuring though... and the trying on of clothes. Oddly enough, that shows almost immediately where the scale can be evil.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Re: How often do you weigh?

It seems that if I don't weigh at least once a day, then the scale goes up. Somehow weighing makes me more conscious of my food intake. However, when I eat on plan, then I try to only weigh once a week.

Re: How often do you weigh?

While I'm on induction, I'm weigh daily. I hope to be able to avoid this once I move past Induction. I would like to get down to once or twice a week. Even four times a week would be an improvement. I need to be accountable to someone/something and my scale won't lie !

Re: How often do you weigh?

I too weigh once a day. After I wake up and use the bathroom, I strip down and jump on! It's the best way for me. If I had only done this BEFORE I let my weight get out of control!

I vowed I wouldn't obsess, but I really need to see how I'm moving along. I know when I'm TOM and when I've really pushed exercising, so I factor those into my daily weigh-in.

I know I vowed not to weigh everyday, but I need the reaffirmation that it gives me. I also measure about once a week. Honestly, it's the measurements that give me the most noticeable difference!
