  • Things I find odd...

There are several things that I have noticed and find to be odd. I thought I would share on this thread and maybe you all could chime in with what you have noticed.

For one thing, I find it odd that all the weight for the week has to disappear at once. I mean, I have scales that measure to the tenth of a pound and, while I weigh daily, they really never move until I "whoosh" a pound or two at a time.

For another, I find it odd that when faced with my successful weight loss, some people immediately try to downplay or criticize it. If one of my friends had some secret way to shed the blubber, I would be all about finding out how to get on the plan too!

And don't even get me started about how odd it seems to want a single, thin slice of ham between two big ol' pieces of useless white bread instead of a juicy cut of steak for the same meal....

    lol so true, so true...
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

How about the way when you are fat & bloated and asking everyone around you how to lose weight, no one has the answer, but the minute you start losing weight and looking good, people come out of the woodwork to give you their advice on how they think you should be doing it? What's that all about????

Why is it if you slump along to weight watchers week after week and only lose 1/4 of a pound a week, they will pat you on the back and tell you what a good job you are doing, but if you come bouncing along full of energy, with a big grin on your face and tell them you have lost 10 pounds in one month, they shake their heads and tell you it's unhealthy!

I tried weight watchers and was VERY unhappy with it. All the counting and crying in between sessions got to me. What is so unhealthy about atkins when you compare the mental anguish of weight watchers?

I find it odd that people call me a hippie because I eat all organic whole foods.......

If hippies live longer healthier lives, I'm on board......

I don't know about you guys/gals but I get laughed at all the time at work

            LOL FAWN!! I so agree!!

People can't stand looking at you when you're fat, and can't stand looking at themselves when you're thin.

OMG! That is so true! My family has almost nothing to say about my progress but they had plenty to say, all with the best of intentions of course, after I had my two sons!!
