So, when we sleep, we are in fat burning mode. Why then do we eat breakfast when we get up in the morning? I realize it starts our metabolism, but why don't we wait until, say, lunch to start our metabolism? For example in BFL it says to not eat before you exercise in the morning, so that you continue to burn fat as you exercise.
Just seems to me like if we didn't eat breakfast in the morning, we'd stay in fat burning mode longer, but I'm sure I'm missing something here... please educate me!
