Re: thought this was interesting
Wow! What an original idea. How did this guy think of this? Actually, I looked around a bit and on another site he says it's a variation of the Atkins diet. I'm not sure what the variation is except Dr. A tells you what to do and this guy doesn't. So if you want to know how to do it, read DANDR 2000.
Well, I must go now. I have to invent a diet of my own. I think I'll call it...The 65/30/5 diet. Or maybe The Eat 3 Cups of Veggies a Day diet. Where do I come up with these ideas?? lolFemale, 46yrs, 5'3"

Re: thought this was interesting
lol... my sister is doing something called "The Green Diet." Apparently, she can eat whatever she wants as long as the majority of it is greens--she says it's pretty much just salad with meat and cheese and whatever dressing she wants... she's eating high-fat dressing
SO
why does she think the Atkins diet is evil?No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Vigilance, not perfection.

Re: thought this was interesting
Not to hijack the thread but not smoking was rough for a while. Im doing well right now. I actually feel better. I have an increased lung capacity that I notice when running and I haven't gained any weight.Originally posted by ladyinredSo green cupcakes and green beer would be allowed? Re: thought this was interesting
It sounds like Atkins to me. A rose by any other name . . .
On St Patrick's day here there are always green cakes, green beer, and green any other food they can get the food dye into. Makes me feel . . . . green, of course! (They look really gross!)Odille

Re: thought this was interesting
There's another lowcarbing forum out there where there are long threads and the egg diet...they call it the meat and egg fast. Some people do seem to have results, but it's definitely more of a diet than a WOE like Atkins. Just the thought of eating so many eggs makes me want to

Good for you, Matt!! You do look great, you are so cute!!
That egg diet seems like such a FAD!!!! It sounds like you could eat 10 pounds of bacon, 5 dozen eggs, and 10 pounds of cheese and still loose weight!! (I know I am going over the top, but really!!)
What would we do without it?

Re: thought this was interesting
Sadly, I think it's what most people think of when they think of Atkins: no carbs, lots of meat and cheese and eggs. Surprise! We eat veggies! Before I read DANDR, I sort of thought that myself.
