I keep reading alot of newbie posts that ask "will this work for me?" in one form or fashion .. I can't help but say " well ... that depends".
Depends on what?
Sure there are lots of factors that determine whether or not this WOL will work for folk. Such factors? Well, medications, for one. Some medications can interfere with the ability to shed pounds, we know that. There are metabolic factors that play a part. There are a host of things that can affect a person's ability to shed pounds.
But the *biggest* factor is: PERSONAL COMMITMENT. Are you in it to get to a certain weight and then go back to eating junk? Are you in it to fit into a certain size, and then abandon it? I can guarantee failure for you. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but its true.
This is NOT a quick fix. This is NOT a temporary solution. This is NOT a 'just until I get to ....." No No No.
Your long-term success is dependent upon ONE factor. YOU. Whether you want it badly enough to make PERMANENT changes to the way you eat, the way you work out, the way you THINK about food.
Atkins is not a bus that you hop on for a RIDE .. its not a quick fix. Its committing to a lifestyle change ONCE AND FOR ALL .. to look at it any other way is doing a disservice to the genius who put it all together.
So .. what's your level of commitment? I'm in this for the LONG HAUL. What about you?

What would we do without it?
Commitment is definitely the key (to this or anything else). If you believe you can do it, you'll do it. If you stick to it, you'll do it. When I've "failed" it's because I wasn't committed. I'd start because Sunday was the 1st of the month and that seemed a good time, or it was New Years, or vacation -- some external reason. This time I HOPE I'm committed
Caution I BITE!
