You can beat the sugar monster! We also have to get away with the notion that rewarding ourselves has to be with food. Sooo many other ways to celebrate successes!

You know, I am in the habit of snacking all the time. It doesn't have to be something bad, it can be totally legal, like deviled eggs or celery with cream cheese or sugar free jello, but I do it when I'm not even hungry! I'm really starting to pay attention. Just cause I've plopped myself down in front of the tv at night or just because my dh is having something shouldn't automatically make me eat it too! I think about when I was young and skinny, I never thought about food! If somebody told me to come eat, I would eat, but other than that, I was too busy to be bothered, I don't know when food took over my life, when I became so obsessed with it!

I totally have the same issues with sugar...it's like one taste and it releases some wild, out of control animal...well that's what it feels like at least!

The comment you made about losing control is what I remind myself of if I even think about eating something off plan ... that loss of control just isn't worth it!

Yes, it really is scary. Once I have it, I can't stop thinking about it. It's like something in my brain is turned on and it won't turn off until I stuff myself with sugar. I'll bet my pupils are even dilated.(seriously) I have to beat this once and for all!!
