Re: Atkins is tough - so they say.
Going by the posts on the boards, the Atkins WOE seems to be a breeze for men but tough for women. If Atkins were easy, we wouldn't have the Second Time Around Club.Robbie T., 240/180/160. 41yr Male, Height 5'9"

Re: Atkins is tough - so they say.
Nothing worth working for is ever easy. The right thing to do is usually the hardest. The medical/dietic industry just can't come to terms with the fact that saturated fat alone is not the culprit for cholesterol. Something interesting for you as well that I learned in my health/nutrition class???? Most and she stressed MOST medical professianals/Dr's are required to complete less than 20 hours of diet/nutrition to complete their degrees in the medical field. Now that's pretty scarey to me. The person I trust to give me a diagnosis for MY most valued posession will have less hours in food/nutrition than I????Make it a happy low carb life!

Re: Atkins is tough - so they say.
Yeah well, the way the media misconstrues it, I'd have to agree that it would be tough to follow it the way its portrayed ..
So the two-fold mission of the ignorant is:
Stay stupid and then propagate your stupidity via the media.

I don't mind ever being wrong this is a good example ...not all men rely on women I know that!!! My son is a fantastic cook!!!...I just enabled one man ..
he loves my cooking ..as most of us here....I can only speak about what I know ...
my husband is clueless about how good the food I make is for him..he really just seems to take great pleasure in it ..when he is not buried in work
......and that is cool I thin to be able to enjoy food for it's sheer pleasure instead of always putting something pointed into it ...
and to be honest that was the relief I got when I realized how easy this was ..and it is even easier for him because I do all the cooking!
