Metabostix by Thinz - Anyone tried these?

I just got a bonus box (50 instead of 25) of Metabostix on clearance for $2.50 at Albertsons. Has anyone tried these, and if so do they give an accurate measurement of ketones? Have they helped you to be successful in your low carb dieting? Thanks in advance.

My friend (the one that never found herself in the fat burning stage and has finally tried the fat fast) used them. They said she was never in it, but it could have been right because almost two months of using them she never lost weight.

I saw them at Publix drastically reduced as well. The expiration date was 3/2006, that was most likely the reason for it.
