  • anyone else have this problem?

Ok, So.. Ive lost nearly 25 pounds in just 2 months. Nobody, and i mean NOBODY has even said anything about it.. My family that i dont see too often that ive seen this past weekend didnt say anything.. my mom (who i see once a month due to living areas) hasnt said anything... not even ANY of my friends...

People didn't notice I had lost any weight until I had lost 40 pounds.

The most important thing is this...

Are you happy with the weight you've lost?

Are you feeling healthier and more physicially fit?

If you are happy with your loss and are feeling healthier, then you shouldn't let other people get you down. Afterall, you are losing your weight and getting healthy for the most important person in your life: you.

      Congratulations on your loss, Damon

Do your family and friends know you are following Atkins? Often people are afraid to mention weightloss in case it is because of an illness, or in case it seems they are telling you that you need to lose weight and upsetting you.

Damon, GREAT JOB!!!! 25 pounds POOF! That is incredible!!

Could it be, they are SPEECHLESS? Or JEALOUS?

I have that issue with my brother and sisterinlaw .. they never say anything GOOD about anything I do, anything I own, anywhere I go ... I just chalk it up to jealousy!

ENJOY YOUR SUCCESS, whether anybody else notices or not! CELEBRATE!!

Sometimes I think people are afraid to make comments in case they are wrong.I have heard people comment on someones weight, only to be wrong. Also when people have had a history of going up and down on a regular basis,it can make others have a let's wait and see attitude. I don't know if this applies as to what happened to you,but you've experienced a great deal of success in a short period of time, rejoice in that fact, believe me eventually the comments will come.

woo hoo for you. Weight to go. looking smaller I see.

I lost over 80 pounds beforer anybody said any thing to me other then my imediate family and a lady at church over heard me thank that person for noticing and suddenly many folk said they had noticed but hadn't said anything cause either the timing wasn't right or they feared I was ill. Try opening the door for them by mentioning how hard you have been working on controlling your eating and see what folk who know you say.

Well, just brag about it! Be proud!! I tell all my friends and family I have lost weight!!! If they won't say anything, I will!!! Some people are just jealous, so maybe that is why they don't say anything. I am sure you look fantastic! Good job!

Keep up the awesome work! People are so weird about what they notice. I dyed my hair from light brown to BLACK and it took my friends and colleagues at work two weeks to notice (some still haven't). I figure weight loss is about the same way.

Nobody noticed that I had lost until I hit the 40 pound mark, other than my family. Now I laugh when people say "Have you lost some weight?" They say it like a few pounds are gone. LOL

I'm with 2big, it took eighty pounds! I'm convinced that people are just so used to seeing someone a certain way it takes something overly dramatic to make them pay attention.

I lost 50 pounds. No one noticed at first because I was losing the 'spare tire' around my middle. I had kept it well disquised during the winter months. After about 20 lbs, people noticed my face was so much thinner, and I had lost a double chin. Sometimes it is where the weight comes off first. Now my upper arms are well defined, no sagging.
