hmmmmm well I never heard of that either...I grew up in a Catholic neigborhood and have always "given up" something for lent as a tradition....last year it was trying to loose weight and it is still LOST...thank goodness..I do not want to find it again!!!!

this year I need to give up something new...do you guys do that as well?

Yes even though I am agnostic I bellieve in sacrifice ..but I am running out of time and have no idea what to give up...any suggestions?

not swear words I can not do that this time of year ..it is my work busy season and I have to be able to say something when I loose my grip.....

Fat Tuesday comes from the French MARDI GRAS
Shrove Tuesday, is infact celebrated in France as well (mardi gras)
Italy (martedi grasso)
Spain (martes de carnival)

compared to what they eat in Spain, Italy, France today our pancake is a cup of lettuce!!!
