    Re: Will guarana help?

Guarana is quite similar to caffeine. Caffeine is not allowed during the induction phase of Atkins and is not recommended in general by Dr. Atkins.

No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

There aren't any short cuts. The only way to get the fat off and keep it off is to reduce intake and increase exercise. Atkins helps us do this by limiting harmful and fattening foods so we are full on good quality healthy food. What we learn in INduction and OWL lets us keep the weight off when it is gone. Quick fixes may be quick, but their effects do not last.

If you look at the side effects guaran can have they are horrendous, with the most offputting one for me being very severe headaches (migraine strength!).

          Re: Will guarana help?

When I saw the subject of this thread I thought "guano - isnt that bird poop?" then I re-read the title and relaxed a bit!! LOL

You dont really need to take these extra pills for Atkins to work.

Alliecat mentioned the Atkin's Excel - well I bought some of these when I wanted to 'speed up' my losses in my early Atkineering days (before I discovered ADBB) and found precisely NO benefit from taking them!

Save the money to put towards buying new (smaller) clothes
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
