  • An inspiration.. huh? Me? :)

    This was the coolest thing...

    Last Friday night I went down to our little local hangout... and was just hanging out with friends when an old friend walked in and sat down. We chatted for quite some time, with other friends. He did notice that I'd lost weight and complimented me on it.

    Well, I work with his wife. She came in on Monday and came down to my office... she was so happy. She said that Mike had come home that night and asked why she hadn't mentioned that "Ricky" (ok, we've known each other since we were about 5) had lost so much weight!!! She told him that I was doing Atkins... and then she told me that it had inspired him so much that he was starting on Atkins tomorrow (March 1st).

    Talking about making a person feel good!!! I don't know that I've ever "inspired" anyone before. That was pretty cool!

    Just wanted to share... and believe me, people do notice what we're doing, and that's a good thing!

    Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

                You ladies (and I say that respectfully!!) are never satisfied... Ok, ok, I'll see if Mike has internet access and will see if he wants to post here. Gotta check with his wife first though, as she is a co-worker and may not want him hanging out with so many attractive women!
