    Re: The Chocolate Diet

I'm really confused about what it's trying to accomplish. You love chocolate, so eat unlimited amounts of non-starchy veggies? I don't think I read it closely enough, as soon as I saw that it didn't actually INVOLVE chocolate I zoned out

It does involve chocolate, that was in the pages leading to that link... They are selling candy bars that look ok to me nutrition wise but they suggest eating 4 of them a day (2oz each bar).

if you read it it is basically Atkins premaintnenace with some choclate candy tossed in and if you read she says on week 20 you will be over your addicitons. 20 weeks or just 14 days the choice is up to us.

You know, I don't agree with omitting fruit from your diet forever. I was ok for the first two weeks but I have to tell you all I started losing MORE when I added fruits such as apples, oranges, melons, MORE berries. I now eat at least 2 apples a day.
Come on I've not known anyone who got fat on fruit/veggies/fat/protein unless they are over gorging on their calories. We need a variety of colors in our diet. And I agree this is perpetuating a habit whcih could very likely lead to cravings for the crappiest form of what people try to call food....... SIMPLE SUGAR.

The good news: after that, it will only get easier. The very worst will be over in a week. But it's possible that by your 10th to 12th week, you'll still be very aware of your "diet," and occasionally find yourself craving real sugar. If you strongly crave real sugar, you should have it in small quantities. Plan to have a few ounces of real chocolate chips or potato chips or other reasonable portion of real-carb food on the weekends until your constant cravings subside.
              Highlighting is mine.

i just got one question and i'm sure all th4e ADBB vets will agree if we can't convince folk to stay on Atkins when they are losing faster then that diet and are detoxed in 3-4 days how can anybody hope to stick with that and take 12 weeks to detox?

Big Bad John.....For those of us with less willpower -Hot Cocoa
2 tsp Heavy whipping cream, 6 oz water (coffee cup)1 tsp cocoa powder (i like Toll House cocoa powder-sugar free of course)
*heat on stove in sauce pan till hot, remove from heat - add your fav pkg of sweetner - enjoy. you can also use the (sugar free)blocks of chocolate but you only want to cut off a little and use sparingly - it makes a rich and creamy alternative and low in carbs!
