up they car nothing but water and fiber but they can plug things up if the are traveling as a larg4 blob through you.

. why two servings? were you that hungry or did you just want them? just cause a food is low carb doesn't mean we get to over eat it.

hang in there the bloating will pass drink lots of water to hepl flush things.

      Re: shirataki noodles

I tried them and made a sauce out of cream and powdered dried mushrooms. The noodles were fine, the texture is a little different but not enough to deter me thats for sure. But methinks my sauce made me react cause the scale went up a pound. I also felt very full after eating them. But I DID have alot of sauce. Next time I will try a serving (half a bag) just by itself with some garlic and olive oil and seasoning, and will see if I lose, gain, or what.

I was wondering what you put on the 'noodles', Rikki ... like Starmaker, maybe it was the combo of the 'noodles' and the sauce.

A bloated feeling can come from a sudden increase in fiber. Those noodles are almost pure fiber and you ate 2 servings last night. It will pass in a few days. Do as 2Big says and drink your water.

as far as weight those noodles are very very good at sucking up fluids 1t of the podered stuff will hild 2 cups of water so you know it is a big sponge mass. moving through your gut.. Once you pass them the added pounds will go

            Hope you feel better Riikii

You're very right, fiber can cause you to feel bloated. But, I've eaten them and never had the bloating problem she described, so was curious about the other ingredients. But, hey I'm sure I'm wrong...Rikki, yes just drink your water .

I think it was the 2 servings she had of them that may have given her issues unless she is allergic to them.

2Big is right that they will pass. Try eating something like mushrooms, that should help. Although the powder does absorb an incredible amount of fluid (I make flavoured puddings out of it) the noodles are stable and don't absorb any more fluid. They are packed in fluid when you buy them and they don't absorb any more and they don't swell any more in the packaging.. You have probably noticed that they don't absorb sauce when you cook them, that's why it's good to have a thick sauce to coat them or they get watery. I have found that it takes awhile for them to pass, and that not meaning to be indelicate, they pretty much come out the way they came in. Because they don't break down in your system, it takes a little longer, especially if you had such a large serving.
