  • Another great benefit

As some of you will know, I put on most of my weight after an operation to both Achilles tendons. As a result of that (or so I thought) I could not wear any show with a higher heel than 1/2 - 3/4". I got horible pains in both ankles and back, and kept losing my balance, and would twist my ankle all the time.

So for 10 years I have worn flat shoes, and hated it. I had lots of pretty shoes and I gave them all away!

Today my flat black shoes needed a repair, so I dug out an old pair of heels with about 1 1/2" heel (ys, I did bring a spare ratty old pair). I've had them on now for over 4 hours, and no ankle pain or back pain! I think losing the weight is even going to fix that problem!

WHOOOPPEEE! Big shoe buying spree coming up.

Yep, this WOE does so many wonderful things for us besides just making us thin, doesnt it? My dad had back pains every day for a couple years, after 2 weeks of Atkins they were GONE!! (sugar causes aches and pains we don't even know about!)

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Wonderful Odille. Something tells me that someone will be making a trip to the shoe store soon.

            Re: Another great benefit

I have had the same experience. I have no arches and my feet tilt in. I have to wear special inserts in my tennis shoes to build up the sides of my feet. When I used to get dressed up and wear dress shoes, or any shoes that the insert doesn't work with, I would have terrible foot and leg pain for a couple of days. I wear tennis shoes 99% of the time. I have now found that I can wear sandals all day and my feet don't hurt. It is nice to feel girly sometimes!
