My wife and I started Atkins 12 days ago and have been faithful. I have lost 4 pounds (which I consider slow) and she has lost none. We are very active and have eaten properly, as far as we know. The only area we may be off base on is snacking at night. We are both eating quite a few pork rinds and now I'm wondering if we shouldn't be eating them in the induction phase or if we are simply taking in too much food. Any suggestions?

Re: Pork Rinds...Slow weight loss
You can only have one cup of pork rinds per day. They really should only be a few times a week snack. They are very high in sodium, and can cause water retention.
Are you guys eating the shakes and/or bars?? Maybe you could post a menu so we can look at it and see if anything else may be slowing you down.
Oh, and welcome to ADBB!!

Hi love2pedal04
(Can we hazard a guess at your favourite exercise from your screen name, btw??)
AS well as giving exact details including quantities of your menus (best done in the 'Review my menu' forum for maximum input) perhaps you can also detail you and your wifes 'statistics' - weight/height/goal weight - so people can help you better?
most of us list this in our signature blocks which you can edit by choosing the link 'User CP' at the top of the page.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Pork Rinds...Slow weight loss
While pork rinds are permitted, it is possible that they could be slowing things down a bit. Maybe you could replace this with another snack with a little less sodium?Sheila, Founder of SugarFreeSheila.com
