  • It's working...............I can tell.

    I know it's only been like 8 days but I can feel a difference. I was at the mall yesterday and I usually could only walk about 5 minutes before my back started to hurt (which is I'm doing Atkins now) and I was walking around for about 30 miniutes and never felt any pain. I am not as uncomfortable as I was before. I believe this is going to work. I was playing paintball last summer but then the only thing I can think of is we started to hit the ol' buffets for lunch like EVERYDAY and the weight piled on me to the point of causing the back pain I mentioned before. Nothing like pain to motivate you huh?

    heh heh heh

    I am eating just steaks, eggs and chedder cheese. I need a new grill

    Mark, this is not your mother, even though it may sound like it...

    "Eat Your Vegetables"!!!

    3 cups per day! 3 cups of salad or 2 cups of salad and one other vegetable and all must be on the acceptable vegetable list in the book.

      It is great that you are feeling results already, but you need to make sure you get your vegetables in everyday. I was definitely a carnivore when I started. Honestly, I don't think I ate any of the acceptable vegetables and was sure that this section of the way of eating would be the one that would stump me.
      I have since found that I LOVE vegetables. My tastes have developed, I guess you would say. As I have cut all those processed sugars out of my life, my eyes have been opened to how naturally sweet and delicious the vegetables are.
      Keep up the good work, add in your veggies, drink your water, and don't forget to get in your exercise! YOU CAN DO THIS!

        That's fantastic you're feeling better. Like the others said, you MUST eat those three cups of veggies. There is a printable acceptable food list. Print it and look at all the veggies you can ...must...eat. You will not be healthy without them nor are you doing Atkins without them.

          how bout some sauteed mushrooms and onions with those eggs? or green and red peppers? its a great way to sneak some fab flavor into your menu. a couple of my favorites lately have been cabbage or zuchini...yum yum yum!

            OK folks! I'll get me some 'srooms and scallions and celery. maybe wrap some Romain lettuce around a chicken breast. Thx for the info.
