  • Need a pep talk

I need helping sticking to the plan right now. I have 19 lbs to go and wanted to move to OWL (I was there before getting pg and on inducion REALLY missed the veggies). That was Sat. Induction is so EASY as far as knowing what to eat and counting portions and carbs. Rung 1 is just a bit trickier, but my life also got trickier and much more stressful and I'm really having a hard time sticking. My baby is sick and I have gotten literally 2 consolidated hours of sleep each night since last Friday, and only 5-6 hours broken sleep. I'm a zombie, and I'm (I think legitimately) hungry all the time. I guess it could be stress eating, but I don't think so, I think I'm burning that many more calories as I am up, bouncing him, and freaking out. Anyway, you never have to be hungry on Atkins, but it's not working out for me to snack as I have my hands so full right now.

Just remind me it's worth it. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, just support I guess, nobody IRL understands the importance of staying ON, y'know? Least of all my poor sick 6 month old. It's nothing serious, BTW, just a garden variety tummy bug, but he's miserable and (justifiably) very demanding.
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Denise, it is so worth it to be healthy and thin. You have come so far, and I am so jealous.

Just think by the time he is done with this cold you could be down a pound or two. Keep with it. I hope your little guy is better soon.

          Re: Need a pep talk

Thank you ladies. After the needy post, I decided to take some proactive action too. Instead of just holding the miserable baby while he cried, I put him in the stroller and he and I walked the outdoor shopping mall. He was totally content, not happy, but quiet, as long as we were moving. So, a bit of exercise, a bit of sunshine, a bit of time looking at skinny girl clothes and I feel much more in control and on track. And motivated, thanks to the shopping too!!! Every body wins
