    28 years later ..

    Here's me goofing around in my wedding dress that I wore on February 17, 1978, 28 years, 1 month and 12 days ago. It was a *true* juniors size 5 (before vanity sizing.) I was 22 years old when I got married in it. I am now 50 years, 3 months and 17 days.

    Thank you Dr. Atkins!!

          Good for you Betty.

          I joined the Army 28 years ago - 17 May 1977 - and two years ago my dress uniforms had been expanded to the maximum the tailor could manage. They have now been adjusted back to their orginal size!

          OO - I will soon have to start saying 29 years!
          Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',

                time flies doesn't it?

                That is my absolute favorite picture of you yet..and they are all wonderful ..but this one...well I just love it

                ..I swear sometimes stuff I see on this board is so touching

                    How cool is that! I'm not there yet, but getting close. To a size 12/14 that is. I was never a size 5. LOL

                      Betty how absolutely wonderfull you look !!!!!! (and I wanted to say maybe they should make you some wings to go with it, cause you absolutely look like an angel !!!)
                      I think the dress even looks a bit too large on you !!!!!
                      What an enormous achievement, you are our lighting example of how Atkins can sooooo work !!!

                            I wish I still had mine to try and fit into, but for some reason, my mother threw it out a couple years ago, without even checking to see if I'd want it.

                              That is sad, Odille!

                              I know mine is packed in a box in the attic and I do plan on getting it down one day and trying it on! Maybe next July on my 30th anniversary!!
