  • I keep lowering my goal

I started out at 147, and wanted to get to 132 or so, thinking that would be realistic, but not really believing I could do it.

Then I hit 136, then 135, and I was soooo surprised! So I lowered my goal weight to 128. Why not?

Then I hit 131, then 130...so I lowered it again to 126. Hey, I can actually do this!!

Now I'm at 129...and yes, I want to lower my goal weight to 122. That's what I weighed in high school, and that really is a healthy weight for me. I was going to settle for 10 pounds higher because of my age, but screw that!! Why not look as good as I did at 18??

Anyone else wanting to lower their goals when they find out it's really possible??

I SO AGREE!! That 'people gotta weigh more as they age' crap is BS!! I'm 50 and I weigh 6 pounds less than I did at 18!! Bugs the daylights outta some people, but I LOVE IT!

    YOU GO GIRL!

      Congratulations on your continuing success!

Lowering your goal is only natural. You start on atkins with a guess of what you'll look like at a certain weight but as you come closer to that goal you may have to tweak your expectations.

My goal weight will fluctuate since I'm a weightlifter and may put on muscle weight. I'll only know my true goal weight when I'm within 2-3 lbs of it.

Now, do you have any clothes left over from high school?

        that's great to hear Chupa!!

I too have lowered my goal - once I reached my original one of half my start weight I saw that I still have rolls of fat to lose, so have set my sights on 130!

Once I get there I will re-evaluate things.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

A pound of fat is a pound of fat, no matter how old you are.

My DH is getting concerned...thinks I look fine (he said that 20 pounds ago too, so his opinion can't be trusted ) and he thinks I'll be too thin. You can never be too thin or too rich, or so the saying goes. According to the body calculators, I should be between 113 and 138.

I'm wearing my daughters jeans! And they're almost the same as the ones I wore in 1976...hip-hugging bell-bottoms!!

Girl, that is so cool. Good for you.

I know what you mean about your DH and his comments .. mine said I looked fine 40 pounds heavier (what *was* he looking at exactly?) Now, he says I look HOT .. so I believe him now!!

Actually, you can be too thin .. but heck, long as you're happy and healthy, go for your dream! Most people who tell you you're too thin are mostly feeling bad cuz they don't look as good as you do!
