A couple of the ingredients are mentioned in DANDR as helping boost metabolism, namely L-Carnitine, Chromium, Vanadium, Alpha Lipolic Acid. Guggul is included in Atkins Accel.

Even granting that the substances do what they say they do (studies are mixed), there's a question of whether Glucofast has them in the amounts needed for them to be effective.

If you've got money to burn, it might be better and cheaper to track down the individual ingredients. Most of them are sold seperately.

Still, for $2.50 /day, using that money on the nearest video game arcade playing Dance Dance Revo would probably be more effective in boosting your metabolism.
