  • Jello?

Okay, Easter was much harder than I thought, but I think I fared pretty well. My mom's eggplant lasagne was not as good as the REAL stuff, but that helped me stick to a small serving and I felt great! I even made "mashed potatoes" out of califlower for MIL Easter dinner, and they were all gone as other people liked them too! They only thing I "indulged" with is I had a few sugar-free jello eggs. Are those illegal on induction? I went ahead and ate 3 of those, which is more than I should have, but since I had 5 Easter baskets sitting in front of me filled with all that stuff I love, I felt it was better just to go ahead. If those are illegal, I messed up, but otherwise I didn't cheat at all. But regardless, I'm ready to continue! Hope everyone had a great Easter!

    Re: Jello?

Jello is made with aspartimine(ok you all know I dont spell) So they are off limits for many. There is a brand that uses Splenda which is what we recomend. I eat Jello with no prob. I say your day was a success!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Job on leaving the baskets alone

With JELLO, I think moderation is key! 3 JELLO eggs on a holiday filled with chocolate is no big deal! You did well. It's when it's a big bowl of JELLO everyday that you need to start to worry! When I do Atkins, I try not to eat JELLO during induction (keyword is try ) and then maybe once or twice a week, if at all, I have a small bowl once I enter OWL. That's just me though.

      Keep up the good work!

It kept you from eating the Easter candy, then it was a success. Aspartame stalls some people, and causes insulin spikes, and that is why it is a no no. You only had 3 sugar free jello eggs. You did awesome!!
