Re: Atkins and Sleep Apnea
At 180plus lbs I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and got a CPAP. It really helped with the exhaustion issue!! I noticed after losing substantial weight that it was set too high or something cuz I couldn't sleep as well with it. Lo and behold, when I stopped using it, I wasn't snoring anymore either, and sleeping better!!!
After gained a few back, the snoring and exhaustion were coming back. I'm now at the border line stage where the CPAP bothers me but so does the tiredness, but not as much. I would recommend to anyone (me excluded) using a CPAP and losing weight to go in and get it re-adjusted. I just don't have the time in the next two months of traveling to do so. Plus, I hope to lose a few more so I'll be in that wonderful land of "breathing easy" again.
