p.s. maybe a switch in a exercise routine might help...anything your body gets adjusted to stops being as effective (I AM NOT SAY EFFECTIVE AT ALL) after a while. Switch it up a bit.

        I can sympathize!!

The only thing that helps me break free is a real diet change. If you're a fish lover - eat steak. If you're a small luncher, eat bigger and blow dinner.

Frankly, I found an Atkins shake as a meal replacement for lunch for a few days always kicked me over. I'd follow up with a late afternoon salad as a snack.

Lulls and plateaus are really the holy mystery of this game!

actually switching exercise routines could cause the scales to go up as your muscles experience a new to them load and think you are in danger to demand so much from them. it is called super hydration and is temp but if you don't know it is coming it can be discouraging

I tend to bloat a little from exercising. (If I do more than normal) Just keep in mind that soon the fresh veggies and fruits will be wonderful! I am getting really excited about the local farmers market. I can always get great stuff and much cheaper than in the stores. Try moving up the rungs. Strawberries and raspberries are great with a little cream and some splenda. That is my favorite summer dessert. I sit and savor each bite.

just a little not...I wasn't advising MORE....just a different routine...work some different areas....work up a bit more sweat...if she has been doing weight training mostly....do arobics a bit...it was just a suggestion...I know my body gets in to lulls after I have been doing things for a while...and all it takes is a little change....a little tweaking...a experiment here or there.

Stay away from the scale completely. It sounds like you are watching it much too closely and using it as a weapon against yourself. Try going a month without weighing.

Remember that you can lose entire sizes and not see any scale movement at all. Free yourself from scale anxiety. Thats a big part of the Atkins journey too.

Here is a hug for working the program so diligently.
