  • 30 day measure at the gym

Well, just for an update...the gym I go to measured me on March 14th and as of today, I have lost 11 lbs, 3 inches off my waist (measured at the navel level), 1 1/4 inches off my neck, arms stayed the same, and 2 inches off my chest....he did not measure lower body.........I guess all that time in the gym is paying off, but I still wish that scale would move a little faster........I am down a total of 34 lbs since Jan 8th.......should I be satisfied with this rate ??? I know it sure looks a lot different in the mirror !!

i too have been losing at a slower rate. i've been on since the day after christmas and have only lost 29lbs. Are you on extended induction? I personally moved on to OWL, because i had to stay interested in the diet, so of course that will slow things down for me. I would just look at it this way... 34lbs is still great and in the meantime the balance in your body between fat and muscle has shifted. Gaining more muscle, losing a good part of the fat. Have other people really been commenting on the difference? It sounds like its working for you!

I've lost 25 pounds (20 pounds on some days...lol) since January 2nd so, in my opinion, you are doing great! Lots of people here tell us to ignore the scale or throw it away completely. I can't do that myself, but I understand them. Working out builds muscle, which weighs more than fat. So don't consider yourself as not losing weight fast enough...Consider yourself to be buffing up. And if you like how you look in the mirror...well, that's all that matters.

I am staying on extended induction b/c I have sooo many lbs still left to lose. I am having a hard time getting my veggies in though. I am some what of a picky eater so I may do some reading up on OWL and might consider going on to that..
