  • small thing, but I did it!

Hi everyone. I finished almost 3 weeks of extended induction, but found my body was trying to hold onto the fat I had, so at about 2 and a half weeks I switched over to OWL.

To my amazement this morning, I stepped onto the scale weighing in at 188. My Start weight was 198 and was hovering at 191 for days and days. OWL did the trick for me I am so thrilled.

Today a friend I havent seen in a few weeks stopped me at the mall ( i do a walk around there) and she said, wow your looking great, how much weight have you lost? talk about heaven. Then my older teenage son said, Mom? are you sure your not losing too much too fast? I can really tell.

So 3 weeks down 10 pounds, Happy camper I am. Hopefully it will continue to fall off.

Keep the faith if your having stalls, alittle switch up here and there can prove to be there trick.

Good for you! My rings spin around on my fingers and if I'm not careful, they fall off. I am also down 1/2 size in shoes. It's great, isn't it? lol

          Congratulations! Woo hooo!

Don't forget....fat cells turn to water cells and your body goes "weeeeeeee....whooosh" when its time to expell. Neat trick, huh? lol. Too bad there's no sound effects here...I'd have waaaay tooo much fun! lol!

You're doing great because you're listening to what your body needs. Best wishes!

Ivy, congrats on moving to OWL. I experienced the same thing. Matter of fact, here I am on OWL and I had a 5.2 lb loss this week. (I'm about 3 months in). It's great!

I was in a tight 11 and now my shoes are loose, although not ready to move down a size. My rings are loose, my clothes are loose and I'm loving it!!

Hahaha, I love the shoe size thing! That's definitely not something I envisioned from dieting but I've gone from 7 1/2 to 7 as well. Rockin!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Great news, Ivy! So glad OWL has been good to you. A reminder that OWL stands for ongoing WEIGHT LOSS -- and that many people lose just as much in OWL as induction, while preparing for a lifetime of healthy eating.

And yes, my shoes are loose too! At my highest weight, eights were tight. Now they're loose and I can even by 7 1/2s.

Re: small thing, but I did it!

well for me it was adding more veggies this week. OWL week 1. But I also wasnt drinking enough water, and yep diet soda was a big staller for me.

So I limited my diet soda to 1 glass per day, some days I dont have any *thats really hard for me to do* and upped my water intake. ~~~swimming around~~~ ugh. But it paid off. Hopefully next week will be just as good as this last one. I am down 3 pounds from last week.

I think by adding the additional foods, more veggies, and more water really helped me. Oh, something else too. Since the first week, I really havent been hungry. but this last 10 days, I have made sure Ive eaten within 6 hours. Something, Eggs, veggies, I havent tried the cream cheese thing with splenda yet, But its starting to sound pretty darn good to me hehe

So a typical day for me is.

Breakfast : 2 eggs scrambled with mushrooms and a small sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top.

Lunch: Meat - Steak or chicken with veggies. - 1 small glass of diet soda. (trying hard to quit)

Dinner. chicken salad. - made with grilled chicken, chopped lettuce, cheese, 2 bacon strips crumbled 1/4 of avocodo and blue cheese dressing. I Also added a few sunflower seeds, not alot maybe 10. *was such a treat*

snack: a scoop of egg salad with Mayo and added mustard better taste.

None of this I can finish, It seems my eyes are bigger than my belly these days. I end up leaving nearly half not eaten.

Now I am sure this probably isnt the stream line, but its working for me. We all have different bodies, Im listening to mine to see what I need. Strange I know lol
