How seriously does your husband want to lose weight? It seems that he isnt really following Atkins at all.

Was he looking for a "quick fix", as that is not what Atkins is.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

If you start adding carbs back in (and you are not on OWL), you will only fall back into your old eating habits and gain all the weight back plus some. Doing this can make it harder to lose weight the next time. Yo-yo 'dieting' can be very bad for your metabolism, and this is NOT a diet, it is a way of life.
What would we do without it?

You say he is taking carbs in his food. Can I ask what carbs he is eating?

As well, he could be eating both high carb high fat right now since you are doing wol. this is incredibly dangerous and leads to type 2 diabetes and a myriad of other issues.

Exactly right. If he is eating high fat and high carb, that's a potentially deadly combination. And by high carb, I mean the junk refined processed carbage.

High fat is not dangerous WHEN NOT COMBINED WITH HIGH CARB.

Having been in maintenance phase for a long time, I can tell you that if I over do my carbs, weight begins to grow at an astonishing pace.

Has he read the book? I'm willing to bet ...not all the way through.

My first "atkins" go'round involved me flipping through induction, losing a few pounds and then adding some things back. It wasn't until I went all the way through the book and then really committed that I lost 100lbs and kept all but 10lbs off for 4 years. (Right now I'm back in teh saddle to make a run at 110lbs total weight loss). Anyway, see if he's really committed to this kind of lifestyle and if he's read the book. If not, maybe he should look for a different strategy.

                Good Luck!!

That is some great advice, you should print that out for him to read.
