If your hungry can you really eat more with out gaining? Like snacking on some bacon and cheese and a few mouthfuls of eggsalad and at night some flax cookies. All while staying at my 20 carb limit for the day.

I'm not sure about the cookie... but I always keep hard boiled eggs, cheese, and such on hand for an absolute craving attack.

When in doubt a high fat snack will do the trick. Just eat until satisfied, not until stuffed.

As long as this is really hunger and not night time snacking for the sake of snacking then a high fat snack is a good choice.

But make sure this is really hunger for you. Some of us are used to eating while watching tv or studying or something. So make sure this isn't just some food habit.

Also, sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger. Drink some water, and if you still are hungry...EAT! You can eat on this plan if you are hungry. High fat snack, eggs, cheese, meat are all great ideas. It probably won't take much. I personally found that during the first two weeks, before the appetite suppression really sets in, that I ate alot more. In the third week or so, I really got to the point that I never snack...just don't want it or need it. Like the others said, eat until you are full. Or, if you are learning to read your hunger signals, eat a small snack and wait 20 minutes. If you are still hungry, eat another small snack. Your body will adjust so quickly and you'll retrain yourself to read when your thirsty or hungry and to only eat enough to satisfy you.
