    Dr appt and new weight

Had a Dr. appt today and they did not weigh me when they took me in, but as soon as the nurse went out of the room I jumped up on their scale anyway. On this woe is the only time I actually ask to be weighed at the Dr. LOL Then when the Dr came in I asked how much I weighed the last time I was there 6 weeks ago just after surgery. He said it was 318 and when I weighed on his scale it was 311. I was hoping to be under 310 but I'll take it. Any loss it better than none. So since I was there 6 weeks ago, and since I started back here 3 weeks ago I lost 7 pounds. Probably more since I think I gained in that 3 weeks between last Dr. visit and when I started back here. My scale weighs something different every time I get on it so it is hard to tell unless I have a Dr. appt. Next appt is in 2 weeks but at a different Dr so will be different scale but hoping to be under 310 for sure by then.

Congrats on your loss. I don't know how the scales actually work but I find they are all different, too. I do NOT go by MY doctor's scale simply because he has a digital one and it's sitting on a carpeted floor.

Good luck on your future loss.

The scales I have at home you can get off and back on 3 times and get 3 different weights and be 5 pounds different from each other. I can tell by the average if I am losing but can never get the same weight twice. This Dr has one of the good scales with the counter weights that are pretty accurate so I just wanted to see the difference between last time I was there and this time to see if I am REALLY losing. haha So I know atleast since I was there last 6 weeks ago I'm down 7 pounds on his scales.

When I'm at the doc's I usually mentally subtract a pound since I'm wearing jeans, etc. Do you do that too? lol, I hope I'm not the only one who stands on the bathroom scale in my birthday suit.

Yeah, I hate the Dr's scale... I always have my shoes on too, and most of my appointments are in the afternoon so I have a stomach full of food and water.

            It's lose-lose!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Oh, no, Pineapple! It's always in the birthday suit for me (and I think mine needs ironing!).

And on the scales on carpet side, I brought my old ones from home (but still accurate) in here to work when I got my digita ones. This is bwcaue I run a weight loss group here (slowly gaining numbers) and we wanted a set here. On the carpet they weight about 12 kgs lighter! Which is nice but hardly realistic.
I have my digital scales at home in the bedrom but on a piece of board so they are accurate.

Re: Dr appt and new weight

It is so funny what we do when we have to weigh. When I have a Dr appt and know I will weigh I try to have clothes on that were close to the same weight as the ones I wore last time. Like if I had on a skirt then I wear a simular skirt again. LOL When I was going to the OB when I was pregnant they always let me take my shoes off. I usually do weigh at home in the nude or my bra and panties and always in the morning and always after I pee. haha

If your Dr is like mine, what they record is their scale's reading minus 2 pounds, Then you can say you were 309, not 311!

My scales (2 sets) are so bad - both on hard floors - one reads different depending on room temp; the other, I can shift my weight from my instep to the outside edges off my feet without getting off and change the weight reading by 15 pounds!

So the heavy-duty postal scale at my job is what I use 1st thing when I get in.
