Re: Weight Watchers Core Plan????
Well, I have never tried WW, but I sure have tried Atkins!! I have lost 24 pounds so far, and I didn't have to spend any money or go to any meetings. If time is an issue, than Atkins is for you!! The thing about weight loss, is that you have to change your way of eating for life, not just think of it as a 'diet' and go back to your old way of eating after you get to your goal weight. I also think that health reasons are more important than vanity for starting Atkins, its so healthy and you will feel better than you have in years. All that sugar, refined flour, and low fat carbage is not good for you. I guess in the end it is a decission that you have to make, as I can only speak for myself. Good luck in finding what works for you!
What would we do without it?

Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!
Started this WOL on Feb. 13, 2006.
SW 179
CW 155

OWL Rung 3- Seeds and Nuts
Frankenfoods- Low Carb Shakes, Bars, Candies.
Sugar Alcohols= Weight loss stalls and cravings!!
These are BAD for us!!!!

Re: Weight Watchers Core Plan????
I'm sure that a moderator will answer shortly, but personally, the Atkins diet is the only eating plan for life that EVER got weight off of me. It's easy, and you can live with it. It will teach you to eat whole foods and steer you clear of convenience meals. I've only done WW one time (unsuccessfully) and I was convinced that it was a money making racket. It may work for some folks, but not for me. Slim-Fast, WW, diet pills, etc. is how I eventually came to weigh as much as I did. I'd lose a bit and gain a bunch. A pro yo-yo dieter. Now I don't yo-yo anymore, I eat properly. Hope that you will, too. This board is full of folks who will support you every step of the way. Welcome!

Re: Weight Watchers Core Plan????
I did WW for about 2 years.Did points and then did Core as well. It didnt work for me. My mom has been on WW awhile and has reached "lifetime" and is doing wonderfully. It all depends on you and your body. Im not ashamed to say that atkins was my last resort. I was at the end of my rope. I started on the 9th of January, on the 9th of March, I weighed one pound less then I did in the whole 2 years I was doing WW. Would I go back? no way in he double hockey sticks! Both ways of life have their own benefits and minuses. its what works for you.Female, 30
