Re: Help!!!
Oh I hate that!!! And sombody is always having a birthday!!!
Look at all the sigs and the progress they have made by sticking to the diet. If you cheat today you have to start all over again. Is that cake so incredibly delicious it is worth stalling your progress? Remember how bad that sugar drop feels after od-ing on sugar.
If you stick to the program this time next week you won't even give cake or biscuits a second thought or glance - you won't be craving any of that stuff! And you will feel great.
Hang in there - Good Luck!

Re: Help!!!
What works for me is saying to myself "I'll have one later...I'll have one later" and I keep saying that until everyone else has eaten them all!
Sounds silly, but my office ALWAYS has Donuts, cakes, bad bad food for us. And I'm unlucky enough to be sat the closest to them.Steph - Age: 24 yrs - Height: 5'4" - Original Weight: 170 lbs - Current Weight: 155 lbs - Goal Weight: 120 lbs - STAC

Re: Help!!!
There's always gonna be that temptation. Sorry for you that it's gotta be right in your face all of the time. Be an example to all of your co-workers that you are a strong determined person----a force not to be messed with! Really, you'll be so surprised at how much people respect you , especially when your diligent efforts show results!!!!
BE STRONG!!!! HANG IN THERE!!!!!!

Re: Help!!!
Good for you for resisting! It was really rough for me too, in the beginning.
Make it a goal to go as long as you can without cheating. By doing so, you will discover that you will curb many of those cravings and will be able to resist those types of things much easier because your tastes will change and you will no longer want those things that are bad for us.

Re: Help!!!
You know what we have birthday cake here everymonth and they buy a big birthday cake half chocolate with cream filling and the other half white with strawberry filling. Before I was on Atkins I ate it and YUCK!!!!! Even then it was too sweet and not even very good cake to boot. Definitly not worth cheating over.Cheryl

Re: Help!!!
Good for you! You know surviving these days makes the future ones all the much easier to resist. "If I can resist b-day cake on day 2, why would I want to mess it up today?" mantra would be running through my mind. Keep up the great work!Kent - 35-M-6'4"
