  • My One Year Anniversary

May 18th was my one year anniversary at ADBB as well as following the Atkins WOL. I lost 60 lbs during the year and I was successfull because of ADBB and all the supportive people here. Having a support system is very important to many people who are trying to lose weight...myself included. I would not have lost all this weight and continued to follow this WOL if it weren't for ADBB. In the past I would diet, lose weight, stop the diet, gain weight...over and over again. No more dieting for me. Atkins is now my WOL and it is something that I will continue with for the rest of my life.

I want to thank everyone here at ADBB for making this the place it is. You are all an amazing group of people and the willingness to help each other is remarkable. It's hard to believe that a group of people who have never met in real life can be so close and supportive. People from all over the world. It's truly a family. You guys mean a lot to me and I appreciate you.

Finally, I would like to thank you all for letting me run amuk here at ADBB. I'm looking forward to another year of friendships and support.

This is my before picture at my heaviest weight.

The picture in my signature was my "during" weight.

Here is a recent picture from this past winter.

Thanks for sharing the picture. I think it really helps to see just how far we've come in order to appreciate where we are today. You say yours is bad....well I don't think I've seen any as bad as my before photos. You've come a long way and we are all so proud of you and happy you are our friend.
