  • What's my ideal waist size?

I've been loosing steadily for a while now and I'm down to a 34" waist which does feel fairly small.

The problem is that I can DEF loose a few more inches. I think I could probably drop three more which would put me down to a 31" waist.

Is that normal? I don't know what my ideal waist size should be since I've never been that skinny...

I have lost weight in the past and never gotten below a 34" waist and below 192 pounds. This time I'm making this my WOL and have gotten down to 175 and a waist of 31". I never thought I'd see it that low. I think I may hit 30" or possibly 29" with just toning (not losing any more weight). I'm still taking a wait and see approach if I'm really gonna get down to 160. May call it goal a little sooner.

I can definitely relate to you "never been that skinny" feeling. Great ain't it!

My husband is way skinnier than anyone should be (but eats like a pig! it's SOOOO not fair!). He's one of those people that couldn't put on muscle OR weight even if his life depended on it. He weighs 124 pounds at 5'9 and his waist size is 29". Looking at his tiny little waist, I can't imagine how a lot of these women that claim 23 and 24 inch waists can be telling the truth. And don't even get me started on how hard it is to find clothes that fit under 30".

"Do not wait for strength before setting out, for immobility will weaken you further. Do not wait to see clearly before starting; one has to walk toward the light. When you take the first step and accomplish that tiny little act, the necessity of which may be apparent only to you, you will be astonished to feel that the effort, rather than exhausting your strength, has doubled it—and that you already see more clearly what you have to do next." –Philippe Vernier
